I do not know much about the fashion industry in terms of its working conditions and just what people do on a day to day basis – at least those people who aren’t working in actually designing the clothes themselves. There are, of course, hundreds, if not thousands, of positions within the fashion industry and having spoken to a friend of mine that works in fashion I feel like I have a slightly better understanding about just what happens on a day to basis.
She, herself, works in content management in fashion.In laymens terms what that means is she is responsible for the copy and images on the website of the company that she works for. Using content management systems, editing copy and making sure everything is ready for the website refreshes as and when they need to happen. That’s just one aspect of fashion. Slowly, but surely, I’m starting to understand it a little bit more.
