Commuting is an odd thing. Not only does it shove an enormous amount of humans into extremely small travel spaces, already a recipe for disaster, but it also throws up a number of interesting conflicts along the way. There’s the smells. Especially at the end of the day; it’s been a particularly tough one, deadlines were met, deadlines were missed, meetings were unsuccessful and the stench of stress and tiredness quickly fills up the carriage or bus these people find themselves on.
One of the more unusual fashion statements along the way is encapsulated by an attractive girl sat near me on the train right now. Hair lovingly designed atop her perfectly made up head. Jewellery tasteful and non obtrusive. Black dress that oozes class and tights that are just attractive enough without being overbearing. The topper? Pink and black trainers. I understand the need to be comfortable, especially after a long day, but it never ceases to amaze me.
